turbo is quiet...

hey everyone i just got the GSX back today... really excited, runnin 15PSI on the comp 50 trim... But I am wondering why the turbo is sooo quiet.. not the exhaust the turbo spool... its really quiet..... anyone know why?

because its barely working @ 15psi.

^^ agreed. With a turbo of that size, it really isnt being utilized until anything 20+ psi. Thus the reason for the low sound, because it is hardly spooling.

And second, you said "you got it back today." So does this mean you had a shop install the turbo?

As others have said when I had my pte 50, you could hardly hear it spooling until you started running more boost. 15psi is nothing for that turbo.

turn it up to 22 psi then you can hear it

I have a pte 5457 50 trim, at 15 psi you barely hear it spool. Don't worry once you throw over 20 pounds at it, you'll hear it!!! I freaked out first time also then realized 15 psi is nothing for it.

yeah the shop next level racing did all the work to it... They did a wonderful job! anyways yeah i should have thought of that 15 pounds isnt that much for that size turbo.... im crankin it to 25 tomorrow! haha cant wait, I mean its a monster at 15 cant wait to see what 25-30 does! thanks guys

I just checked his mods list... I have 50$ on him blowing up his engine in the next week running at 30psi and he has no clue how it was built.
