turbo houseing blew off! metal particals all the way up the intake pipe

hi, so my turbo housing blew of the turbo blades shredded and snaped off and small metal particals and oil pass through the intercooler up the intake pipe near the throtle body. the waste gate actuator wasnt working the vacume line wasnt hooked up properly, so my question is will the engine be fine? im looking to replace the turbo with a bigt28 and greddy fmic.
the car is a 97 gst it had a 16g turbo with hks bov

Replace everything that has been in contact with the particles, depending on how bad if the particles got into the intake manifold, it might be game over. Also I would drain the oil, replace the oil filter, at the very least clean everything thoroughly it can only help =).

You need to spend an ass load of time cleaning. Pull the intercooler off, the intake manifold, all the piping and clean the hell out of it all. Also after you get everything back together change the oil within a few hundred miles to make sure all the metal is completely out of the motor.

Pull the IC off, all the piping and clean it all using simple green or an equivalent degreaser. Really clean the IC out. Check for any damage to the TB and if there is any there then it's possible that metal got into the intake manifold/head. Most metal particles/chunks will get stopped in the IC so if your engine didn't die after the turbo blew then it's prob. fine.

Change the oil as well for the just in case factor.

the the intercooler and uper pipes im going to replace it along with the turbo, the biger chunks were jamed in the intercooler the particles that did pas through were as small as sand grains. is it posible itll just blow through the cylinders out the exhaust? what could this posibly do to the engine?
i just dont want to invest replacing turbo and inter cooler and end up with a motor no good =(
the car has been siting about a month now, ill have enough for the parts in about a moth, will the car be fine siting there?

Should be ok as long as most of the big stuff got caught in the intercooler. The little small stuff if its really that tiny shouldnt hurt anything going through combustion. May chew up the turbine side of your new turbo though. But if you want to avoid that just get a cheap 13g or a 14b and run it for awhile with a sidemount. You canfind those turbos all day long for no more than $150.
