ok, so i bought my 95 tsi, with a 6bolt swap already in it, just needed to tie up some loose ends. like having the dp ,that he for some reason sawed in half, welded together and put on. The car has a tubular manifold with a t3 flange on the turbo on it is a shitty xs power ebay special 50 trim t3/t4 with light side to side shaft play. i have a garrett super 60 with 60 a/r hot side and 60 a/r intake side sitting in the house. would this be worth putting on? for a while? and if i fixed the dp for the xs power turbo would it match the garrett turbo? they both have the 5 bolt flange with internal wastegates blocked off (running and external). basically i just need to know if the super 60 will suffice for decent power until i can afford a new one, and if i have the exhaust fit to it, if it will match my new turbo. thanks!

Even new turbo's come with some side to side play( roughly 1mm). If the super 60 is the same flange, and bolt pattern it will fit. Why swap the t3/t4 50 trim? If it work's then stick with it till it break's then swap.

was kinda worried about having shrapnel in my intake tract if a fin hit the housing. thats why. but i suppose it will be ok for the moment, seeing as tho my wastegate spring is 10lbs and im too lazy to wire in my ebc.

If you do get a piece of shrapnel flying around somewhere it will never get past the intercooler so you want have to worry about it getting to your engine. A little piece of fin isnt going to hurt the piping so its nothing to worry about.
I would run what you have for now until it blows.

wired in the boost controller, and swapping the turbo this weekend. I would rather spool up a million times faster and have a turbo that will stay together spooling 25lbs than a shitty pos that i am afraid to boost past 10lbs.

WTF Dont encourage this!

Yea, how do you get that piece out of your ic? If you can't? . . . Now you have a ticking time bomb!!! There may be a snowball's chance in hell that such a piece will get to the thriottlebody when first breaking, but drive the car daily. How do you calculate the chanses then?
