well i took my turbo apart and saw that something got a hold of the exhaust wheel on the turbo. It didnt bend any of the blades at all but it took small little pieces out of the base of the wheel. I'm wondering will this throw the whole things balance off and eventually blow or can i keep using it?? It seems to be working perfectly fine but im just wondering is this thing just a time bomb ready to eventually eat the rest of the turbo aaprt now? Thiers no shaft play on this thing either. Its weird, just little pieces are cut off and gone now.

Got any pics? Lose any spark plug electrodes?

Any blade damage will throw the balance off of the rotating assembly, but to what degree really is an unknown unless you take it to a professional to measure. Your turbo spins up to 100K RPM, so if it was really bad, you'd definitely know in short order (excess endplay > further damaged wheels/housing).

FYI, HERE is a nice VFAQ showing pics of a the various parts of a 14B/16G turbo if you'd like somethign to compare to :dsm:
