Glad i checked this, all the clearance I had made by porting behind the flapper got closed back up when i mated it up to the o2 eliminator, so i had to do a little bit of porting to that too, to mirror everything that i had done to the wastegate side and so the door would open parallel, thanks 90blacktsiawd, and i rounded off my manifold so its more circular

Not a problem. I just had the same issue myself and i never thought of that before hand either.

cobalt bits rock. when i broke off a turbo bolt i cut it flush with the turbo, drilled the center 3/4 through then center punched it out. A local buddy of mine had the same trouble and did this and it worked for him to :)

Oldman: Im LOVING the external setup too it has a much cleaner and quieter sound then the dump I had :D

I agreed that this is one of the better ones I have done, Chadillac2000 did a great job on updating with pics. The only thing missing is a picture of the inlet before it was ported. I thought about recommending this thread to be turn into a tech article but I don't know if it would be appropriate since I'm so involved, plus we don't even know if it works yet. :D I do agreed that this thread could be very helpful in the future. :thumb:

if this cures my creep id be happy to put all my pictures into a writeup, by the way just dropped my turbo off at a machine shop and they said it wont be til tuesday but they will get them both off, and shouldnt be more than 20 bucks, and they can rethread them if needed, so thats taken care of, also today when i got home from the machine shop my FIC 650's and 5 quarts of royal purple 10w30 were sittin on my front porch, but i think im going to install the turbo and everything back before installing the injectors so I can see how this controls my boost before going up to 20 psi or whatever i decide too, running a Hahn FMIC, 650's, 190, and a safc, how much could i run on this baby all tuned out, and how much for race gas, I am about to go to a local shop and hook my car up to a wideband as i get it tuned, and i was just wondering what i could turn it up to with pump and race gas, but here are the injectors...

Yea, I dont drive it ROFL .. My boost creep has gone away, the thing pulls like a raped ape and holds rock steady at 20PSI. I plan to build a shroud "around" and "inbetween" A/C core and my FMIC, so that air that goes through the FMIC, will have no choice but to continue through the a/c core and radiator. I will also try some water wetter and if room allows putting my stock a/c fan back in.

WHEN YOU INSTALL THOSE INJECTORS: be sure to remove the stock O-rings... I was unaware I needed to do that the first time I installed mine ROFL

not yet, again im not even gettin back the housing with the removed bolts back until tuesday, and then wont get everything on til tuesday night but ill know by wednesday hope you guys can hold on that long, LOL ROFL

Got to stop doing boost creep threads, not good for my health. ROFL

haha pop some tums OLDMAN only a few more days... :D

I have a similar problem. I have an evo III 16g, sbr cast mani w/ 38mm tial, and i'm getting 25+ psi of boost creep with my b/c set at like 15. It creeps to 25+ by 4000 rpms..and i have to shift. I just finished building the motor to produce all the power from 3500-8500 rpm. The only conclusion i can come to is that it is because of my stock o2 housing. Any ideas?

If your waste gate is mounted on the O2 housing it won't work. The flow is still limited by the waste gate passage on the turbo exhaust housing. You can either port the turbine exhaust housing waste gate passage, or mount your external on the exhaust manifold.

If i read that correctly he has the ex. wastegate on his manifold. Umm just out of curiousity is your boost controller hooked up right? If you have an external on the manifold there is no way you should be creeping.

Is the wastegate plumbed back in or does it dump to the atmosphere? Frankly either way i can picture in my head the o2 housing would have absolutely nothing to do with this. The extrenal would be bypassing the o2 completely.

My external is open atmosphere. I also cannot find a reason why it would be creeping. But it is, and the o2 housing is the only thing that is stock left. As for the b/c it is hooked up correctly. However it is an electronic one...so i was thinking of slapping a manual one on it and seeing if it still creeps.

Just for shits and giggles why don't you just hook the external up directly to your boost source and see what happens. I cant think of any other reason as to why you would be creeping other than your boost controller. Of course i could be missing something here. It is definately not your o2 housing.

My thoughts exactly. If in fact the wastegate is mounted on manifold, The wastegate path should have been welded shut and the o2 housing would have nothing to do with it. I suspect as well that your mbc might be reversed and you are actually talking about all out boost instead of boost creep. Connect the pressure source directly to the wastegate bypassing the mbc and see what happens.
