Well, i've bought a bullseyepower T04B 50 trim this winter from another member on dsmtuners. This turbo was used and was freshly rebuilt and, has never been reinstalled after the rebuilt. The turbo is very clean and looks like a brand new. Also the guy from wich i bought the turbo sent me the invoice as a proof of the rebuilt and cleaning.

But The thing is that: when i turn the compressor wheel by hand, the wheel is rubbing against the compressor housing enough too much. So i've tried to fill the oil drain hole with engine oil to fill the bearing up. It reduced the shaft play at almost nothing but it still as a very very little side play. No in and out play. But even with the bearing filled, the compressor wheel is still hitting the housing...

So what now, im about to put the turbo in my car but im feared that it will blow up and cause more damage than desired. Every one as ever been in the same situation?? I wonder with oil pressure on the bearings, if the compressor wheel will still hit the housing??

The wheel is not hitting the housing by the inducer section or the exducer, but really in between these two sections.

Im about to think that i've got screwed:notgood::mad::beatentodeath:

do not put that on your car! and don't bump your thread. take the exhaust and turbine housing off n see how much the chra itself moves... do not install it. take some pics or a vid if you can also.

i've took some mesurements. It has approximately 0.010 inch of radial play.
I've read on the forced performance site that it should take about 0.035 inch to permit the
wheel to rub against the housing, so it is a bit confusing me. Also the shaft itself look pretty
straight. It is rubbing but in a random way, not every turn at the same place.

another question is: is this normal to have no o'ring or seal in between the compressor cover and the compressor backplate?? anybody have a bullseye power and can confirm that??
