So, you've torn down your turbo, what ever it may be, and you have a busted fin. No need to junk it, its fairly easy to repair. Chances are, if your re-building your own turbo, your competent enough to fix your compressor wheel.

C/W = Compressor wheel.

If your a machinist you'll hear when your cut enough if not get a 0 on a different fin and remove a little at a time. Use a high speed.

Almost....

Air grinder, time to use it. Here it takes a little bit of a steady hand and some patience. stick with it and try to keep the contour of your C/W.

bottom fin last pic, (best guess by pourosity of metal in fin) but i'm a weldor and machinist as well so i know what to look for.. great job! lots of dedication in that piece! :D

Takes about 45 min. But I do it ALOT LOL. leave it to DSM'ers to pick up the flaws. The same process can be done on the turbine. I happend to drop to the assembly on the way to balance, thought I would do a write up. On a side note, two other fins were busted during the tear down. however more time was spent blasting the C/W

Cough feel free to throw down respect points

Mods this probably should of been a write up, feel free to move it there.
