Alright I just bought an exhaust manifold and a 20g turbo from Forced Performance, what I didn't realize was that the exhaust was for the stock turbos and the new 20g is a T3 inlet. That was my fault for not realizing it, but now I want to know what should I do, should I send the exhaust manifold back and buy a t3 or would it be better to switch the turbine housing part of the turbo to the 16g/14b like they recommend?

I would talk with FP and ask what the most cost effective vs desirable option is based on your budgets and needs. I know that's vague but I have no idea what setup you have nor what setup you're going for, as well as what kind of costs are associated with correctly getting your setup to where you need.

my budget is good, if I were to return the exhaust I'd probably just get the megan manifold. Yeah I understand, I don't know what prices run for the turbine housings though. My main goal is to get around if not more than 300 hp. I know what all supporting mods I need but just this little mess up slowed me down.

Alright thanks, I only suggested it because that's what FP had said on the 20g turbo site. I picked this turbo mainly because I know later on I will want to do more work and increase the hp even more and go into the engine. Right now it's just bolt ons, but the way so far is what you suggested Steve93Talon. The cheapest way would to return the manifold and buy the megan one but I know the fp is one of the best from what I've heard/seen. So I should go for the 8cm if I decide to go that route?

If you are set on running a bolt-on 20g turbo, you will want to keep your FP exhaust mani, ask for the DSM 8cm turbine housing, and bolt on either an EvoIII O2 housing, or Megan SS housing. That should reach your goals easily.

I personally run a BEP EvoIII style exhaust manifold, EvoIII turbo and EvoIII O2 housing and have logged 36lbs/min at 18psi. Should be good for around 300 to the wheels :applause:

The cheapest way would be to return the T3 flanged 20g, and pick up any 16g. Then convert to a 20g, billet extended-tip even, later down the road by one of the reputable turbo builders here.

Well the only reason I'm for the 20g turbo is because I know it can handle and produce a good amount of hp and my goal is at least 300. I'll probably just get the 8cm turbine housing and switch them out and sell the t3 one.
Thanks for the info and suggestions, it helps a lot.

Sure thing, man. I will upgrade to a 20g as well later on down the road. I love the idea of a "All-MHI" car. I also run Evo IX injectors, Evo IX Maf,and Evo IX BOV. This is on a Mitsubishi Galant VR4. I love everything :dsm:powered.

Good luck!

Ouch. Its ok though, you still have a few options.

If you keep your T3 20g, you can go with Turbonetics, Treadstone, or eBay cast manifolds. Or any SS T3 manifold. You will also need a 3 bolt O2 housing or weld on a V band flange like a fellow member did here.

Or you can send your turbo to be converted to an EvoIII turbine housing and run DSM stuff. I know member pj91gsx sells them new.
