The Bolts That Hold The Turbo On The Exhaust Mani Keep Coming Loose Is There A Fix And Could This Be A Sign Of Something Worst.

Try locktite and make sure you are tightening them to spec..

I suppose a lock washer should work as well...

You should be using two cup washers, with the dots facing outward, on the turbo bolts. Try using a torque wrench when the engine is a little warm. Torque specs are about 40-45 pounds, if what Kevin Jewer told me was correct when I did my swap.

MrBoxx is absolutely right. I've never had a problem with mine. 5 DSM's since 1990 and probably over 350k miles combined.....even on my track car I have never had one come loose.

I put a bit of anti-sieze on them and torque them to factory specs. Also make sure to use the two washers on each. I don't believe you can get them from Mitsu anymore so make sure to save them.

I also use new bolts every time I replace the turbo. I'm an idiot like that, but I don't reuse them at all.
