Hi,

I've been thinking of buying a new turbo - HX35 or HX40. I currently have to4b 50trim from bullseye power.

The question is, would I be able to use that turbine housing with the holset units, and would it require machining? If so, how is it done, and do I have to know specs (to inform machinist) like margin between turbine blades and housing wall?

I'd appreciate any info... Thanks.

Extensive machining would be required to step the housing up from a T31 turbine to a HX35 or HX40 turbine. I'm not sure if there's even enough metal available to machine due to the shape of the Garrett Bullseye housing.

You probably won't be certain until you hold a Holset in your hands and actually do the measurement, but depending on what your local machine shop may want to do the work (if it's even possible) you may be better off just buying a Bullseye Holset housing and letting your old housing go with the 50-trim.
