Gauges:EGT, boost, and oil pressure

Ok, you get the picture. Im sure i forgot a ton of stuff, but you get the jist of it.

1.)So, my first question is do i need a Fuel Pressure regulator because i have the walbro 255?
2..) My next issue is about tuning. The guy that tuned my car around here just used a wideband, which seems insufficient. Dont i need a way to monitor knock and timing? It seems a little unsafe to be doing it that way.
3.) What kind of boost can i run without destroying my car? I rebuilt the motor about 8,xxx miles ago with stock internals just machined .20 over (which is irrelevant).

Recommend some devices that i could use to tune/monitor the car which will accompany the maf-t. I'm going to put dsm link in the car this summer, just waiting to build some cash up. Also, with dsm link, do i need an eprom ecu or anything to accompany dsmlink?

The MAF-T by itself won't be able to do much fine tuning. You should have a fuel pressure regulator, tuning will be much easier with it and you won't be over running your stock regulator. Your boost level will be mostly determined by the capacity of your fuel system and your ability to tune the setup.

If you are planning on getting Dsmlink, just wait until you can afford it before you increase the boost level. Without some sort of datalogger you could be causing damage to your engine and you wouldn't know it.

so if im running 16 psi right now, is it safe?
Safe yes, but consitant and powerful not really, it is no wives tale about overunning the stock regulator with 255lph. I had problems for months untill I installed an aeromotive. It will be close to pointless to attempt to learn proper tuning on your setup currently.

Obtain a properly functioning 1:1 Fuel pressure regulator and install it correctly. Set the base pressure then repost about how to start tuning.

so your advice to me would be what? What do i need?
If you want your car to run consistant then get an AFPR, and if you are going to get dsmlink, just wait until you get it. You can log everything with dsmlink, you will love it I have it on 2 cars and will always use it. You will need an eprom ucu from a 95( it looks like yours is a 95, check you ecu it should be an eprom).

I am from pittsburgh as well if you need help 412 352 8315. My garage is in Coraopolis if you know where that is.
