Hey, below is a log (MMCD) along with my S-AFC settings. This is really the first time I have tuned with a AFC (just installed it yesterday) so what I was wondering is if anybody would have any input on my results. The log was taken during a 3rd gear WOT pull on factory 450cc injectors. Thanks and I appreaciate anybodys help!

I'm no expert but that log looks rediculously good. I'd turn the boost up some.

Your log numbers look very good. One thing that makes me think is that your leaning your low settings. If your MAS is hacked you usually add fuel to bring back your fuel trims and if your MAS isnt hacked that I would assume(although I shouldnt) you wouldnt need much tuning at all down low.

OMG Oh, thanks! I guess that was better then I thought it was. I knew it might have been okay but I wasn't sure it was that good. Anyways, my MAF is not hacked. I considered doing it awhile back but I was going to upgrade to a 2nd Gen MAF, just never got around to either. Tomorrow I will play with boost a bit more and see what I can get out of it. Initial boost today was at 18psig and fell down to 17psi around 5-7k rpm. I was kind of confused doing my tuning but by looking at my logs I thought I was doing okay, just needed a second opinion. Thanks a lot!

Also since I installed this SAFC and adjusted my low settings I have been rather impressed by my :talon: at low throttle position (normal acceleration). Previously it would pull rather weak until I hit boost and it felt like if I wasn't turbocharged that my car would be terribly weak. Much better now though!

How I got my low setting adjust information: Here!

Wow, I didn't know an AFC would cure fuel cut!? That's the first thing that pops into my mind when you say your running a stock mas at 18psi....especially w/ that much timing.

I only hit fuel cut once in my DSM. I never felt it before that and I seriously thought I blew up my car OMG I am going to go out and tune a bit more tomorrow. It has been rather nice here lately (55 yesterday) so I don't mind getting outside to pop the hood :thumb:

Personally I would read our own tech article on how to tune an AFC and start over, at least on the low end of things. I know RRE knows boatloads more than me but tuning your low end so it sounds "pretty close to smooth" is just too vague IMO. You have a logger, you may as well use it. Set your fuel trims according to your ECU, not your exhaust tone.

Yeah I took a look at our tech articles also. I did not tune it toward my exhaust tone. What I did was as follows:

1. Rev it up to desired RPM in neutral
2. Watch air/fuel gauge and pull the low settings down until the ECU can no longer bring it back up to closed loop operation.
3. Add +10% fuel to that and that should roughly be your settings
4. Do the same while crusing at the desired rpm and compair the two

That is a quick overview on how I did it. No knock or anything under normal acceleration, but I will play with it more this afternoon.
