What exactly will i need to tune my 99 gst with?
I know of dsmlink, but i cant find a kit for a 2g 99.
Can someone link me exactly what i need and give me a rough number of what i'm paying?

Also im not sure what injectors to get for my list of mods ill be buying in the next couple of weeks which are:

Fuel Pressure Regulator

Walbro 255 fuel pump

Evo III 16G Turbo + kit

(Injectors)

Wide band o2

Punishment Racing or VFS FMIC (Cant decide for the money) <--- inputs requested

Current mods i have:
Megan Racing 3" Exhaust
Forge Motorsport BoV
Extreme PSI air intake with K&N filter
Boost gauge + controller running 15lbs of boost
NGK Plugs
Ported o2 Housing
Any idea what gains ill be seeing from the mods ill be buying?

Thanks for your input dsmers.

I can pretty much vouch for every member on the site about making dsmlink one of your first purchases. Even if you can't find it used its always good to help out Tom and the guys at ECMTuning and purchase it new. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about any defects with the hardware. I would first see if you already have an EPROM ecu in your car and if you do that will make things a lot easier and cheaper nonetheless. Also I hope your BOV is being recirculated back into the intake. You see a lot of guys just venting the BOV because they think it sounds cool but they know little about the damage there doing to their car. As far as tuning I'm pretty sure all you'll need is dsmlink and an EPROM. The 2g maf would be good for the power your looking to make but as always continue to research and good luck!

Forgot to put the FPR on the list, but at always thanks, I just have no clue what "kit?" to buy for my car. and yes BoV is being recirc.

FPR along with the kit that you can purchase it with. (Steel braided lines and fittings is what I was referring to) One thing that I constantly overlook is the little things. Once you actually rip into your car you will notice a lot of things that your going to need to add to the list. From new gaskets to new bolts and tools to get the job done. It easily adds up to a pretty penny in the end.

AHHHH, I had a bunch of stuff typed for you but some how I backed up a page and lost every thing, but any way. FIRST and FOR MOST I would like to add this to your list for you, MAINTENANCE, do this first, timing belt would be a good place to start, I recommend OEM or GATES RACING, stay away from cheap autozone or other parts places unless its a gates belt, but the OEM has been used on many build and some up to 1000awhp, so its trusted LOL, while your there do your water pump, (trust me I did mine and no sooner than two days later water pump started leaking), also while your there if it hasn't been done already do a balance shaft delete, which would require a bit more skill but can be done in the car, you don't need a 'kit' just need a welder and some time, and a cheap freeze plug from Oriellys LOL, and a front case gasket kit, then change your oil, I have been hearing good things about brad penn, then change your spark plugs NGK are recommended by almost every dsmer out there, set gap to spec I for get it off the top of my head I am really tired, then get good wires MSD are the best OHMS per foot, get your base timing right, I recommend a fuel lab afpr or aeromotive afpr, extreampsi sells both the fuel lab is what I run I got it from them for 200 thats the whole kit bolt on ready to go, while timing belt if off might as well check the head gasket if it looks old change it! you can get the fel-pro set at oriellys for I think 100, comes with all the gaskets you need and comes with cam seals, get ARP head studs best bang for your buck, have the head checked out at your local machine shop and have them surface it for you, have them clean/regrind the valves if need be and have them clean it, the fel-pro kit comes with valve guide seals, but I have had bad luck with them leaking so I recommend viton seals, As for injectors the brand is up to you PTE is a good brand, you can get away with their 880s but just for safe keeping get the 1000s just for play room, keep in mind you don't want to go above 95% duty cycle on any injectors, so the 1000s would be a perfect set up for you, just get ecmlink new its a bit pricey but its worth it, its 375 for v3lite and I think its 450 or so for the full version, keep your car up and it will be reliable! good luck!

I'll need some help picking out my ecu lite v3. What type so I need when I go to pick all those options.

Since you have a 99 you should have a flashable ECU, so ECUFlash/EVOScan is an option you can look into also. Comes out a little cheaper than DSMLink and still has all the functionality an average street/track DSM needs. For injectors it slightly depends, if you're staying with pump gas 750-850cc will be plenty; if you're considering E85 1000cc+ is a good idea. With that said, get the biggest you can afford/justify the price of, it's always better to have more injector than you need than not enough. FIC and RC are my preferred brands, PTE are great too.

All you need for ECUFlash (aka ceddymods) is the software ceddy.us, the tactrix open port 2.0 cable tactrix.com, and EVOScan evoscan.com. Along with a lot of research, or someone that's familiar with it to tune your car.

As for your choice of turbo, unless youre going used or 'flea'bay(not recommended), for the price of a new mhi 16g, you can easily buy a PTE turbo and have enough left over for your injectors
