i have a 1g eclipse that the motor blew and i swapped it with an cyclone engine with the 16g then put 550 injectors on it that precision sent me i have a walboro fuel pump and aromotive fpr.back in november i would have to turn don the fuel pressure to get it to start then put it up around 40 pounds at 15 psi and by reading the plugs it ran and seemed okay, then i got hit by a dumptruck so car stoped being worked on.know i have a 3 inch gm mas and just orderd a data logger.so in reality i want to know an economical way to set up the car ther are so many ways to do it.I njust want to drive it and have a little fun without breaking the bank should i take it to a shop and have them chip it or maf-t or safc i dont plan on going real far with the car i think i would like to set boost at about 15 pounds

Please help:ohdamn:

Seeing as you have a 1G, you have a ton of options. Personally I would look into Tunerpro if I were you, as you can tune your car yourself, and learn alot in the process. If that is too big of a step, I would look into a Keydiver chip and SAFC or just an SAFC although the combo would be better. Just take it easy, give yourself time to learn, and progress as you see fit.

SAFC is the easiest/quickest way to setup a car with low goals...

However i dont get what your saying here...

40psi of fuel pressure is high for 1g...

Should be around 36-37psi while the vacuum hose is disconnected

i have an auto trans but will be putting in the manual trans i bought. what is an key driver chip how does that work.do i put it in my ecu. What about taking my car some where and having the program the computer,do people have good results? The biggest thing is i want to be able to drive my car i painted it and swaped the motor and just want to head in a safe direction for know.im in the process of mounting a fmic what a pain in the ass i wanted it tiged at all the joints but i dont think that is gonna happen. One last question how many pounds of boost is somewhat reliable i know at tweenty you should put on head bolts but i dont mind but i just want a weekend cruiser.any advice would be apreciated.

I would highly recommend keeping your car at a near stock level with stock boost and research all of this as this is plenty covered in the site.
You have your ecu socketed if you have eprom ecu and install the chip. Our cars really cant simply be brought somewhere and reprogrammed like an evo,
You need a logger to view your sensors in determining safe boost level as well as supporting fuel/spark,etc
