tuning ...for 16g

Thats part of it, but if you want the most out of your set-up tuning it would be best, but on stage one it isnt a must, maybe with a huge turbo, ect...stage 2 and 3 modds. Your choice, I would just get it tuned to know that Im getting the most out of it as I can.

IMO it's a must. No use in spending all that money and possible being a little faster than stock or even just as slow. Tuning is everything.

By the way that is a beautiful color, what blue is that?
 
If you swapped in bigger injectors, then yes it's a must. And with a 16G I can't even see getting it to the meat of the efficiency rating...~18PSI, without upping them to at least 550s.

So yes, tuning is everything, but that's already been stated.

I mentioned "at least 550s". Of course bigger doesn't hurt in planning for future upgrades.

At the very least get a SAFC and a logger. Of course DSMLink is VERY sweet to have if your budget allows.

While you can stretch the 550's that much, I don't recommend it. Mid 90's IDC's are pretty tough on the injectors and will burn them out over time. I ended up switching to 650's as soon as I cammed the motor since the 550's were being maxed out badly at 26 psi. Come to think of it, I also needed to add a 255 and an AFPR.

With larger injectors your IDC goes down and allows for easier tuning. Plus if he goes DSMLink, he can tune any injector he throws in there, so just through 720s in and you wont have to upgrade them in the future unless your pushing huge boost, and 700+hp. Yes the SAFC is ok, but most people oh hear would use it for over 660cc injectors, because the tune can be less accurate, so if you have the room in your budget do the link, and skip the SAFC.

In my defense I was really tired last night and I read your first post wrong :( I thought I read "you will need atleats 650s to run a 16g"
And now with some sleep and a rested mind I will have to say sorry and I completely agree.
