Having some trouble,
91 Eagle talon tsi AWD Turbo
1000cc injectors
eprom ecu that is chipped for injectors
14b turbo
stock engine

At around 12 psi my car will sputter and feel like its missing. Its not consistant in an rpm range just at that boost. sounds like a boost leak? well ive ran a boost leak test and found a few leaks but have sealed them. I will be running another test today.

Also I am thinking my car was set up for E85 at one point in time. And i could possibly be fouling my plugs since i am having so much fuel and im running 91 oct.

What i have considerd was installing new plug wires and going from there. I have read of a few people having similar problems and wires was the main cause.

1000cc injectors?! i didn't even know there were chips for that big of injectors, what do you have to tune them with? What are you logging with? Do you have a wideband O2? You should definitely get one.

You can get a chip for any size injectors...

When I got my chip for my 880cc and set my MAF-T for stock injectors it would run pig rich. If its not a boost leak, and it's doing it in boost, it could be that you're running too rich. You'll also might want to upgrade to bigger wires and try new plugs. Maybe NGK 7s if you're running 6s right now. The colder plugs will help prevent knock. Although it probably wouldn't fix the miss fire, it will help keep your timing curve more consistent which would contribute to less sluggish feel. But my fix for my high-rpm misfiring? NGK wire set and running leaner

if it's easily repeatable and the ambient temps around your area are at 60 degrees or lower then you need to check your plug gap and possibly regap them down a few thousandths......For the most part, try not to gap below .028 because then you'll negatively effect the combustion event in the cylinder (incomplete combustion) which can also cause misfires and/or rough idle....

could be your coil going bad aswell. my 92 did the same thing. and ive had friends cars do the same. they just break up and seem like they are missing under boost.

Would definitely be helpful if you had a wideband or logger. Then you could easily tell if it was pig rich or what. And also as mentioned above.... plug gap could also be suspect.

But without some more info.... its really just guesses at this point.

well i just pulled the plugs and inspected nothing sugggests that its running way rich. just a little graying on the tip electrode looked fine. coil huh, how can i test it out?

the gap is at .26

Just looking at them doesn't cut it ,ohm them out and make sure they are not open circuit otherwise you'll never be able determine fully if the ignition is the culprit or if you have a different issue.....they can look brand new and still not work bro....The gap is a little on the tight side but it should work fine....

Also, depending on how the car is setup, your plugs could look ok, as it is running in closed loop before being turned off, but at 12psi.... might be a whole different story in open loop. Again, depending on the car setup.

i oped the gap up to .33 and the miss is gone. but when i crank. oost up a little it comes back. guessi haveto close them a little more.
