Trying to put a 6 bolt head on my 7 bolt block NEED ANSWERS QUICK!!!

Heres the deal i got my 7 bolt block at the machine shop right being built with manley pistons rods etc everything basically but that doesnt matter i was also going to have them build my head as opposed to buying one from slowboy which was my other option but i just found a beatiful 6 bolt head that i would love to slap on my freshly built bottem end so my question is.... can i do this??? pretty sure i can just want ## opinions... what will be the ups of doing this? will there be any downs??? please let me know all that you can...

You can do it, you just have to do some construction. First you have to get a 2g cam sensor and put it on the 1g head.

Also the head bolt holes are different on 1g's and 2g's. So you'll have to have the 11mm holes in the 7 bolt block tapped and died to 12mm which is what the 1g head will have.

or you can take a half inch drill bit and drill the holes for the studs out on the head out.... just to make life easier... your only drilling half a millimeter on each side.

negative - you got it backwards
7bolt block & 6bolt head = no need to open the holes up.

the "ups" are better top end power - the "downs" are having to mess with the CAS. Also you will be using a diff T-stat housing. And prob have to plug the oil supply hole in the side of the head. (for the stock turbo line)

thanks for the replys the guy sold it out from uner me so im back to square 1 but i think im decided on just doing an SBR head and buy some FP2's for it...
