trying to identify this turbo

hey guys i was looking at my turbo i was wondering if it was a 14b or what all i saw stamped on it was tdo5 anybody know where i can find a page to identify??

Look elsewhere on the compressor. There should be additional numbers like:

49178-01420 - Big 16G
49178-01470 - EVO III 16G
49178-01520 - Small 16G

Are the fans grouped together at all?

now how do you take housing off so that i can polish it ?

There is a large snap ring you have to take off.It is a PITA!!!!

I assume you're referring to the compressor cover.....

There is a rather large circlip on the backside of the cover and that is the only thing that holds it on. (the left circle)
