i recently got a turbo from a buddy and i need help finding out what size trim etc. it is or any info you can give me on it. its a Garret turbo on the intake side its stamped A/R.60 on the exhaust side its stamped A/R 1.52 the exhaust side also has some type of divider in it. on the label thats stamped on the intake side it says. model-TO4B83 P/N-1-14400-133-1 S/N-DI O1O1J GTI P/N-465476-5 . any info on it would be appreciated.

Well, we know it is a t04b compressor housing and it has a huge 1.52 turbine housing. Im guessing it is a straight t4 but I could be wrong. Look inside the compressor outlet and see if it has any #'s engraved. If not, pull the compressor housing and measure the inducer and exducer of the copressor wheel and then do the same with the turbine wheel. Thats the only true way to determine the size of the turbo.

.60 is stamped in the compressor outlet. i have pics but i dont know how to post them on here.

Posting a picture of a file is very simple...

1.Click on Post Reply...

2.Type in something the The message Body..

3. And look all the way at the bottom
you will see "Attach Files" and a button to upload images click on that

4. A Pop screen will show up.. Press the first BROWSE button and locate the picture file on your hard drive.. Select it..

5. And then it's simple.... (Heck if you can Tune your car you can submit images)....

Hope this helps...

thats pretty big, do you have the correct manifold for it, since its offset like that (the turbine housing and the compressor housing) you would need a manifold along these lines....

Not neccesarily. He could simply clock the compressor housing to make the outlet point down.

Kronic: That is a stright T4. However there is no way to tell the trims of the wheels withough measuring them.

do you think i should keep or sell that turbo? im only trying to get low 13's in the 1/4 for now. my other turbo i have is a 17c and it bolts right up. if i sold it, what do you think it would go for? $300??

will the 17C turbo get me to my goals? what do you think that T4 is worth. its never been used.

i wanna try and sell this turbo on the trader but it wont let me post cause im a "rookie". anyone wanna throw some offers or trades for it?
