My SES light keeps coming on throwing the code 120 which is TPS circuit malfunction. It only is thrown when getting on it and staying at low speeds. Like in town driving when you have enough room to accelerate in 1st and shift to second and eiter slow down or stop. I have an OBD-II scanner so turning the light off is no big deal. I have talked to several people and nobody has really given me an answer. Do I need to replace the TPS or is just resetting the light alright? Does a bad TPS have any ill effects on my car??
