transporting car

i want to buy a non running dsm and want to find a way to transport it. Can i rent a truck and trailer or something? Anyone know how this works and how much it would cost?

u hual charge insane amount for the miles, over $2.00 a mile. Can i just rent a trailer from them and hook it up to a suv or truck?

tow truck is way to expensive for distance of over 200 miles.

Remember, if you get an AWD, make sure that ALL 4 wheels are off the ground!!!! You can do some serious damage to your car if you tow it with two wheels rolling...

How far do you have to go?

How wired up are you? Any buddies with a flatbed trailer and a pickup?

Ask around the area it has to start from, too. Independent mechanics love weekend jobs. Someone near the car would be happy to transport it for you.

the only way I would do it is on a flatbed , regardless of the price , sorry but it's really the only safe method of transporting a car over that distance without breaking anything ...try to find a guy that will give you a special price or something, or make friends with a tow-truck guy ...
