hey i have a 95 gsx automatic.

im having some issues with my transmission...
everytime i stop my transmission goes off gear, so i push on the pedal and the car just doesnt move forward, its like first gear slips really really bad ### sometimes it takes even 30 seconds for the car to start goin. also my transmission is burning fluid...iit was doing the same thing about 1 week ago, so at the time i changed the fluid and add lucas and it stopped doing it....now after a week im at the starting point again...
any ideas?

IMO I think your trans is going, Lucas is thick so you have more pressure in the system so that's why your trans was working good, but once you start to drive it more the fluid heats up and thins out. How does it shift after the car sits for a day and then you go and drive it? And when you stop there is no pressure in the system, and once you give it gas the pressure builds back up.

well i thought my transmission is bad...
but on the other hand, like the transmission switches so smoothly and perfectly in any other gears, also when i changed the fluid, in the pan there were no metal pieces or anything...
so idk...could it be the end clutches?

Its a very good possibility that it is your end clutch, once they good bad it will burn up your trans fluid.

One of the seals requires a press to get replaced (the large End Clutch Piston Seal.) It CAN be done without a press, but it is a major pain. The main seal to replace is the small one with a metal case around it. These are known to fail and leak off pressure from the End Clutch. This in turn makes the clutches slip and burn the transmission fluid. The burnt fluid no longer lubricates properly and all of the other parts (including the valve body) wear out prematurely. When caught in time this is repairable. Otherwise, start looking for a new transmission.

yeah im gonna check on the TCU and change my end clutches tomorrow...
are the end clutches and TCU from a 1g non turbo the same as my 95 gsx?

oh yeah i saw it earlier! but thank you!

yeah hopefully they are the same and everything goes well!

hey, so i just wanted to update that the end clutch from a 1g non turbo works on 2g turbo tranny! the assembly itself is shorter than the turbo model, this is because the turbo model houses 1 more friction and metal ring. that aside though they are the same. while i dont encourage this, i do want to point out that i was able to solve my slipping problem by swaping out the friction and metal rings on my end clutch with used ones from a 1g non turbo. naturally i made sure that the clutch rings were in decent shape and not excessively worn out. i was able to get this at the you pull it for free! obviously i reccomend buying new ones, but if you are as broke as i am, and you cant afford to not use your car to get to work and what not, this is certainly a short term solution!
hope this helps anybody in the same situation!
