ok, heres the deal. My car was running fine until i got my tranny fluid changed. after i got it done, it was a little hesitant about going into first gear, so i didnt think much of it maybe it was the new fluid or something. now the car just doesnt pick up 1st gear at all, i can go in reverse, and when my friend was pushing my car with his, i hit around 25mph and thats when second gears kicks in and the car runs fine above 25mph, then when i went to park only reverse not forward drive. any help on what the problem is or anything please help me and thoughts. no shops around here are open today. i was thinking they overfilled the tranny fluid? thanks alot for the help guys

Did you make sure that the bolt is tight? It could be leaking fluid and thats the reason for the hard shifts..Just an idea.

Make sure the correct type of fluid was used, (something about friction modifiers) & also check the fluid level according to the owners manual procedure, otherwise you might be getting an erroneous reading on the dipstick, thinking your level is OK, when it might not be.

chances are you went to a lube shop to have this fluid changed, correct? If so they would not neccisarily be responsible. How long was it between fluid changes? How did the car drive before the change? My guess is that if they did an acuall 100% fluid flush/exchange. It dislodged a piece of crap that was already in your tranny's fluid filter and it has now caused a problem. Please post again and let me now how it turned out

i took my car to a local tranny shop and he says that the tranny needs a rebuild, i told him just do it , but i dont know. the last full fluid change was like 4 months ago and then i had one done like 3-4 months after that one.. but the guy didnt give me details just that the tranny was bad and needs a rebuild for 1200 thanks guys
