Alright guys I had the nut on the end of the 5th gear back out into my end case on my 95 gsx. I tried taking it to get welded but its still leaking so im just going to replace the end case. My question is will the end case off a 91-94 awd trans work on the 2g awd trans?

Thanks
Robert

They are NOT the same! You need 93-99 end case. The problem is that most people can't tell 91/92 tranny apart from 93/94, so it is easy to make a mistake.

Take a look at the chamfer at the top of the casting. 93+ trannies have larger 5th gear, so they need more space. 91/92 covers have a larger chamfer and as a result they have less space on the inside. The moment you put one of those covers and then move the shifter into the worst position, you will see the interference.
