alright, swapped out fluid in trans a few days ago because of a strange sound from tranny. came out a little thicker than water milky white and full of flakes. i have damage to all gears and will pretty much need to rebuild and replace everything in the tranny.

heres my issue. I can either get the transmission rebuilt or should i buy a 1g 6bolt and do a full swap. im assuming i cant use a 95 transmission on a 6 bolt block so any suggestions?

Im mainly worried about the engine crankwalking, if it does am i able to rebuild it and not have to worry about it ever crankwalking again? or would i be better off rebuilding the engine now before it crankwalks to avoid future problems?

any info's appreciated.

Exactly what Snowborder said. You can only use a 2g tranny.

Its probably easier to just replace your tranny than to go ahead with a 6bolt swap.
But thats totally your call.

oh awesome, i didnt think a 6 bolt would match up with the tranny from a 7 bolt, thanks alot everyone, are there any places with reasonable prices for trans parts if im going to do it myself? i checked teamrip but im going to need all 5 new gears along with synchros and everything it adds up fast.

You should fill out your vehicle profile, so we can help you better.

To be honest, just roll with a knowledgeable tranny builder.

Yea, they make a little bit, but it's done right so you don't have to pull it all apart later.

If you have the money...a budget 6 bolt buildup would set you for a nice receipe.

Is your car stock now? If so, just put a tranny in it and drive it.
