Okay I got a question.
so I have a long block 4g63t and its a 7 bolt.
now I want to know if the 7 bolt and 6 bolt manual transmission is the same or if there is any changes I need to look out for.

No such thing. Only different years and notably 1g or 2g. Different years have differences in select mechanisms and internal design. 1g and 2g do have slightly different bolt patterns but will interchange 1 way. 2g can go in a 1g but not 1g in a 2g.
2g trans have the front and rear mount bosses. 1g the mount bosses are on the block not the trans. Same reason why you can't put a 2g motor in a 1g but you can put a 1g motor in a 2g.

You need to specify what you have and what you're trying to do.
Saying you have a 7 bolt motor isn't enough. Both 1g and 2g can be 7 bolt but they do not interchange for the reasons I mentioned.

Transmission differences are more so 1g vs 2g, NOT 6 bolt vs 7 bolt. 1g’s continued to use the same transmission even after the 7 bolt started being used from 92.5 to 94 (and I mention it because many don’t realize, the 1g 7 bolt shares more in common with the 6 bolt than the 2g 7 bolt). You can use a 2g transmission in a 1g but CAN NOT use a 1g transmission in a 2g, therefore if you’re referring to a 2g you need to find a 2g transmission.
