transmission code ?'s....

I got my transmission rebuilt about 2 months ago. They claimed it was supposed to hold 500hp. But the 1-2 shift fork broke in it under normal driving conditions at less than 250hp. When I took the "built" trans out I noticed the code stamp had a "K" infront of the w5m33. and I was just wondering what this transmission came out of because the transmission I gave them was a normal w5m33-2-npxv. Is a kw5m33 a weaker transmission? What year and model car did it come in? My car is a 93 eclipse gsx. I just wanna know if I got screwed out of my transmission for a weaker one. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I pulled the tranny out of a '90 tsi awd and I believe it was the stock unit and had the K infront of it. I do not know about how strong it is though.

Well I know the 90 transmissions are notorious for 2nd gear goin out. So if I have a 90 transmission I'm gonna have a few choice words to say to the shop that's doin this transmission. It really pisses me off cause I never had any problems with 2nd gear until I took that tranny to them.

anybody have any other info i should know?
