Transfer case/driveshaft collar

I know its a simple wuestion with a simple fix.. The collar on the back end of the transfer case is not attatched. It looked like someone had it glued on with some type of rubber glue? Anyways, it makes a crappy sound that makes me not wanna drive it. I though about welding it or throwing some jb weld on it. Would anything happen if i wanted to remove it?

i would say bolt it down any way you can

There is no way to bolt it down, I tired to clamp it but that doesnt work. I dont know how it was previously connected. No bolts, and definately doenst look like it was ever welded on stock? I would like to remove it, but i dont know if it will cause any problems later on down the road. Id appreciate a solution or suggestion from someone with experience on this issue, thanks
