Trans question

So my car was shifting pretty good about 2 weeks ago, and out of no where i have trouble getting into 4th gear. I have a act 2600 and its always engaged very close to the floor. I'm having a fresh 6-bolt dropped in next week and I'm hoping i don"t need a new trans. I"m pretty sure it a clutch issue because i haven't been beating on the trans at all.

Check the rubber shifter bushings, might be a good place to start.

Alright ill check it out this weekend. Could it be a clutch engagement problem?

if all your other gears go in without trouble and engage , then it won't be a clutch engagement problem because the clutch engages the same way for every gear.

If your clutch is engaging really close to the floor, you might wanna make an adjustment to the master cylinder adjustment rod: Clutch Adjustment

If you have trouble getting into fourth because it doesn't feel like you're lining up properly, do what the other poster said and check/change your rubber shifter bushings. Also make sure that the bracket which bolts to your tranny is secure. If all else fails, try adjusting the cables at the shifter base itself: Shifter Adjustment

Thanks for the input guys!
I've always had problems getting straight into 1st and straight into reverse. I've bleed the clutch, and adjusted the rod under the clutch peddle and it didn't do much. I'm going to check my clutch fork and throw out bearing as I've heard these can cause engagement problems.
