Hey all....I just bought my first boosted DSM...its a all stock '91 GST auto with 92,xxx on it....the problem is that when i start the car and shift from park to reverse/drive it doesn't go into gear. Occasionally it will go into reverse on a cold start up but rarely....i thought maybe it could be the TCU but my reverse lights come on when i go into reverse....could it possibly be a trans pump or could this be related to another issue...any thoughts, suggestions, input would be appreciated.
Thanks

^^^^:f-u:ok lose your attitude fool it was an honest mistake.. Say it like i killed his ####ing dog or something.. Wheres your contributions though mister i know how to read the post and flame but cant help..

To the OP bad torque converter could cause this issues..

^^Lol alright well i apologize then just seemed like the way you said it you were getting one.. Seems to happen a lot on hear
But to the op my uncle had this happen once in his Chrysler and it ended up being like the valves in the tranny if im correct.. Im not super familiar with autos but il give it a shot:D

i am thinking more along the lines of a bad tcu because of some research i have been doing all night. are TCU's transmission specific or are they vehicle/ecu specific? The reason i ask is because the F4A33-1 transmission is shared amongst a lot of vehicle platforms.
