I appreciate the advice, really I do, but as I've explained, I literally don't have room for a hydraulic press where I live. Small apartment, no external storage, no room to even take it apart and store it in a closet. It's not an issue of cost or wanting to do it my way. I just can't spare the space. If there's no good way to do this w/o a press, then I'll find someone who has one and see if I can borrow it, or have a shop do it and pay whatever it costs. Hopefully whatever's wrong with my trans won't require taking apart the stacks and this is all moot. But I won't know till I take them out.
