Trans grind or cooler??

Hey guys I have a TRE stage 1 tranny and It seems once I've been driving for awhile if I drag second out a little longer then when I go into third it grinds. Would getting a external trans cooler help cool it down enough to stop the problem.

Grind how old is the trans and how much do you drag it?

It hasn't been dragged alot If It had before he sold it maybe once or twice I don't really beat on it at all I've launched it twice. I know the owner before the last bought it so not that old.
