Well, I just replaced my Transmission with a awesome working one, no starter problems beforehand.
Now, when I put the new trans in, the starter grinds when I try to start it, not when I'm driving, just when I start it.

I'm not sure what to do, help?

Make sure all your trans bolts are tight. Also make sure your starter is tight. reason why I ask is because I had them come loose and back the starter out on the flywheel and grind.

For what it's worth - same thing happened to me; I ended up putting another starter in and it's been fine since. It there another starter laying around to check with? If your transmission is in (allignment dowels?) and bolts are tight it may be a variable worth eliminating.
