2G Trans cooler relocation

Hey guys, looking for pictures of your relocated trans cooler, due to my Intercooler piping not fitting well on my driver side.

I would just get a b&m trans cooler kit. Stock one barely does anything. I used some aluminum to fab a bracket. Was an easy job

Where can I buy it? And I just have to get a bracket? Do you make those and I'll buy it?

Can be used with any 1G/2G DSM and includes a B&M oil cooler and all fittings and line to replace your factory oil lines to the transmission. Because this kit is so versatile, you'll need to bend your own mounting bracket to suit your selected mounting location.

Brackets are easy. Go by some 1/8x1 aluminum flat strap. I keep it on hand here for all kinds of brackets. Measure, cut to length and drill some holes in it.

OK I'll look into it, also with the lines from the factory cooler, do I just run a new line from the original bottom line to the new port of thw cooler and do the same with the top one as well?

The kit will replace the nipples on the actual trans and make it all 6an lines

OK and do I run new lines to the original locations? Did you eliminate the hard lines from the lower portion and run thw new lines to where the fluid comes from?

Perfect man, heck yeah exactly what I was looking for. So looking at the picture, the port on the left, is that going to thw top and the right port goes to the bottom?

Yes.. they are just circulating. Even if you reversed them it wouldnt hurt anything. Its basically a radiator for your trans fluid

Perfect man I appreciate it. Now I just have to see what I can do for the piping for the turbo to go above the brace

It is held in place with HD zipties to the flat area just above it (the hoses would almost hold them). I drilled 2 holes for each cooler (I actually run 3 sandwiched together), then used electric fan mounts to push thru them so they are all one unit as mounted to the car and I used the intercooler duct to channel air right to it. I also used some aluminum up front to make sure it got good cool air.

With the second line that comes from cooler, do I run that to new location of cooler?

I noticed today when I was following the lines, one goes to the passenger side of the bottom radiator and on the driver side there's another nipple that goes to the transmission cooler

Both lines will need to go to your new cooler.

Sorry if I confused you. So from the transmission there's a line that goes all the way to the cooler. Then there's another line from the transmission that goes to a nipple on the bottom of the radiator, then from the other nipple there's another line that goes to the cooler

You will bypass the nipples altogether. 2g used the radiator to try and help cool trans fluid. You will no longer be using that.

Didnt mean to be short before I was driving.

Juat take the lines from trans to new cooler and block off those nipples

Anything really.. they will just dribble a bit of trans fluid until empty if you dont

So those bottom nipples don't have to be capped off once the fluid all comes out?
