tranny seal replacement

The input shaft will not be cheap. Trans will need dissambled as it is installed from inside the case. If you plan to do this, then it will need removed. This will make replacing the half shaft seals and output shaft seal easy. You may want to consider the transfer case seals as well. Obviously doing this job yourself will be cheapest.

I have all the seals but I'm nervous about doing it myself it just seems like a very daunting task and I don't want to mess anything up.

I'm not going to lie, the input shaft seal is critical and a royal pain to get to. As stated, the entire trans needs to be pulled apart to get to it, I tried, there is no way to sneak it. If you try it yourself do research, look at pics, take pics, label everything and be patient.

Or drop the trans off at a local shop. The majority of the fees are usually pulling and installing the trans, so if you just drop off the trans I can't see how they would charge much

Guess youve never taken one apart. This is no small task. Tcase output is no big deal. Input? I wouldnt do it cheaply. Several hours labor minimum plus the non replaceable parts.
