my tranny crapped out on me and I am in the middle of purchasing all the parts I need for a local shop to do the rebuild. So far I am planning on buying the IPT overhaul kit, IPT reworked valve body, and a restalled torque converter. However, I was wondering if there are any more parts I should replace while the rebuild is being done, such as the pump.
I do not know if the pump is bad since the tranny hasn't been pulled apart yet but even if the pump wasn't the reason for my tranny failure should I still replace it for peace of mind? Are there any other parts you guys would recommend replacing?
-Thank You :thumb:

I already have an aftermarket cooler and tranny temp gauge, sorry I should have mentioned that before. My main concern is whether I should change the tranny pump and if there are any other parts I should worry about. thank you

replace the pump. it anthing exploded in the trans it would have possible some particals in the pump and would suck to rebuild then find out that the pump just spread a bunch of crap thoughtout the trans, or you put it all back together then 200 miles down the road the pump goes out on you.

just my oppinion
