My tranny problems began with a 2-3 slip when shifting above about 4k rpm's. The tranny then began getting stuck at stop lights(the rpm's would just rise and the car wouldn't go anywhere). The tranny also goes into nuetral sometimes when it tries to shift into 3rd gear. I then have to pull over and restart the car and mess around with it until it decides to grab. So basically the car doesn't like shifting into 3rd gear and sometimes doesn't grab 1st gear at a stop or when I'm going from Park to Drive. The car is unreliable how it is now so I just parked it in my driveway and hasnt been driven in about 3 weeks  . I want to figure out what could be wrong with the tranny.
There is also a local guy selling a stock tranny with 84k and is asking for an offer. What's a reasonable offer? thank you

How did your slippage symptoms begin...for instance, on hard acceleration into a turn where the rpms would rev high with limited power actually getting to the wheels? Have you been shifting like a stick on a non-built tranny?

have you checked your fluid level. i know mine started slipping pretty bad today before i lost all gears. (line from the trans cooler to the send block, for my trans temp gauge, came loose and dumb all the fluid onto the road)
