tranny problems

well iam new to dsm cars i have 2 turbo grand prixs and i just picked a 93 eagle talon tsi awd for free but the guy who had it stoped at a red light and put it up in to neutral and reved it to 6000rpms and droped it back into drive :thumbdown which was real stupid of him,it will not move at all now all it does is make a grinding noise?what do you thinks broke any help would be appicated,iam looking in to converting it to a manual so....thanks for the help david
