I just bought a 95 gsx with 140k. the guy told me the clutch was somewhat new but it was slipping. i can care less about the clutch so i bought the car. on the way to my house it seemd like it was getting harder to put it into gear(i didnt think about it tho). the next day i went to drive it to kregens but i couldnt get it into gear, at all, nuthin, 1st 2nd 3rd 4th... reverse just grinded.

So my question is, what could the problem be and what do i have to fix.

no clutch pedel is fine. i took out the clutch pedel sensor also so i dnt need to put it down to start it.

could be a throw out bearing. if its a puck clutch a spring could have popped off. I was going to say master slave cylinder, but usually when that happens the clutch pedel sticks to the ground.

There's been a rash of this lately. Here's what you check in-order.

Low hydraulic fluid (never gets low unless you HAVE a leak somewhere).
air in the clutch lines.
Leaking clutch hydraulics (watch the ETCG Clutch hydraulics video on YouTube)
Loose transmission bolts. There are 7 of them, and 4 little ones that don't matter on a clutch cover plate.
Preloaded clutch master cylinder from improper clutch adjustment at the pedal.
Failing rubber clutch line
a bent clutch pedal assembly.
Broken clutch fork
fragged clutch disc.

If the clutch is slipping and all of the above are verified to be correct...

Pressure plate bolts are loose.
