Ok guys so i recently returned from afghanistan. My car was ran and started for a while every week or so. Well i got home and wanted to drive it of course. Headed out and got gas and she ran fine. I was headed down the road not in boost or anything, and it started making a popping sound and i had no gears, kinda acted like the clutch went. i have checked the t-case and its good. i can also go through all the gears and it feels like it kind of grabs but then it just revs up through every gear. Once the rpms come back down to about 750 or 800 it starts popping again like its trying to grab. But when you gas it again the rpms just jump up and car doesnt move really. The info about the clutch is unknown..IE no idea if its factory or anything else. Any help would be really appreciated. thanks

Sounds like your clutch is worn out. Check the driver's side axle to see if it popped out of the trans. If it did there is this bracket that probably came off the engine.

so even with the noise that it makes.....it still sounds like the clutch to you guys?? and thanks for the support. i would of been on this during deployment but the internet we had blocked all forums....if its the clutch itll be great i think im just gunna run the xtd stage 4 unsprung. just kinda curious to why it would make that noise?? anyways thanks guys

Sounds the same as a problem my last talon had, ended up that the previous owner hadnt torqued the clutch bolts and 3 came out and 2 of them got lodged in the face of the clutch from the pressure. The car still grabbed slightly but when put under any force it would just spin. I would describe the sound I heard as more of a clanging though.

Check clutch. almost 100% on clutch.
Same happened to my volkswagen golf.
