Tranny almost pops out of 4th on decel... Help

Just as the title says. When I drive acellerate it's fine, but when I decel. it almost pops out, that it grinds on the synchros. The tranny is brand new from Jacks, and the cable can't be adjusted... I'm a little confused, but the only other think I can think of is that I have urethane engine mounts. Thanks for all your help in advance.




Finally got the car running after a year being down. Now it's down to the little problems.

Your cables are not moving the shift shaft assembly far enough to go fully into gear. You either have the wrong shifter cable bracket, the cables are bad or the wrong ones, or your clutch could be out of adjustment. Your 3/4 assembly is all brand new- gears, hub and slider, synchros, forks, etc. It was tested here on the bench before it was shipped, so it is definitely not the trans. Please don't drive the car with this problem as you are doing very serious damage to the slider and gear dog teeth when it pops out.

Yes, I know that I shouldn't drive the car, that's why it sits now. Well, the thing is I have the same shifter cable bracket since I have given it to you with the trans all together, and got it back from you with the bracket.... Can you please show me the differences in shifter cable brackets (pics)? But the 1st and 2nd gears engage just fine? So, I thought that this wouldn't be the bracket or the cables, the cables are new by the way. Thanks for all the help, I just really want to get it on the road. Especially since my DD needs some serious maintanence these days.

Did you ever drive the car with the new cables before? I'm wondering if these new cables are the wrong ones or not installed the same way as the old ones. Does the clutch show signs of dragging??

Nope I haven't driven the car with the new cables. So, I have a 91 Talon AWD with the older style tranny 22 spline, but I ordred the cables from the Mitshu dealer from a 91 Eclipse AWD. Would that make any sense?
