Tracking down members???

Paid for a fmic via paypal and have contacted seller many times with no answer. Came back to dsmtuners and the ad was deleted. Any way a mod can track this person down? If so I'd like a moderator to pm me and I will fwd the person's e-mail address.

dispute it on paypal they will place a hold on the funds on the guys account until he responds if he doesnt paypal will give you a full refund.

Sometimes Paypal can't do anything unless it was an auction or some other legit purchase.

I got nailed one time trying to buy a used iPod from someone I knew decently well. It was only a $50 transaction, but I still was jacked when a few weeks went by and no iPod. I filed a Paypal claim for an item not received, and Paypal said there was nothing they could do because it wasn't a certified transaction, but they would "further investigate" the seller.

Basically if it's their first screwup, Paypal will give them a slap on the wrist while you get screwed for the money you paid. Hope you have some Vaseline close by.

DSMtuners will not divulge members' addresses, nor contact information beyond their email address -if they have provided it for public disbursal- and whatever other information they may provide on their public profile.

This is why we have our New Member/Proven Member process. As you see, even it is not always enough.

That really sucks - i always hate to hear about someone getting screwed. This is also why i tell people to use our rating system, its the only defense we got.
