I got the car up and running well running decent but I'm having an idle problem now which I'm trying to get set. I took a log and I'm throwing code 14 which is the TPS. It is stuck at 99% no matter if I loosen it and turn it one way or the other. I tested my TPS and it measured the right resistance. 4.8K Ohms from pins 1-4 and variable 800-4800 Ohms from pins 2-4. I checked the voltage on the plug with the Key in the ON position from terminals 1-2 I get 3.48V (which it should be 5V according to the manual) terminals 1-4 0V terminal 2-4 0V. Is the problem lying in my wiring? I need some help with this because it just doesnt make sense to me anymore. Thanks in advance!

LOL Eclipse gone Toyota.

Sounds like bad TPS. Replace it and it should be fine. Set it 0.5 volts at closed throttle

According to the manual it is still a good one, I tested 3 and they all turned out good. It should still adjust though and it wasnt doing that when I had the logger hooked up.

It runs, but I cant get it to idle anywhere steady it revs up to about 2K on startup which is ok, but then after it wasms up it fluctuates between 100-1500 RPMs and then after ten or so minutes of that it will settle down to about 1200 RPM's. I understand that I need to set this to 10% along with setting the ISC correctly in order to get a good idle though.

Did you try the other 3 sensors in your car or just check the resistances? If you tried the other three TPS sensors in your car and its still doing it, then sounds like a wiring problem man. Also 3.48 is low for a 5v output. Try some contact cleaner on the wiring harness. Other wise you will have to remove all the wire covers and see if you can find the break in the wire.

Sorry to hear that, good luck! Let us know what you find!

I tried 2 out of the 3. They all checked good resistance wise but I might pop the 3rd one in just for shits and giggles. Hopefully it isnt raining tonight so I can get out and check the wires, I'm going to check from the ECU to the plug and slowly make my way back if I find that there is a break. I'm hoping thats all it is and not my ECU!

One trick i use to test the pins at the ECU is to use a bent paper clip and push it into the back side of the ECU Plug. That way you can quickly check to see if the ECU is outputting the correct voltage, if you know its the ECU then you don't need to tear into any wire harness.

I was going to do something kind of like that, but thanks for the tip!

Found out that I had a broken ground wire about halfway through the wiring harness, not quite sure how it got there but I have it all connected now, didnt get a chance to test it yet but I will here tomorrow and let you guys know what happens!
