420A TPS Help Needed

I am in need of help like real bad I have a gs non turbo eclipse. So my problem is that if I floor the gas pedal my throttle lever would get stuck so I cleaned the butterfly flap for my throttle body thinking that is was because of carbon build up but it still keep on doing the same thing someone told me that you might need to change your tps so I went head n changed that now when I start the car it revs all the way to 4 rpm’s it’s like I am stepping in the gas when the whole time I am not doing that it dose it by itself so I am lost right now n trying to find out why it is doing that if u have any ideas or can walk me through it just reply.

Did you check the throttle cable? It sounds like the wire has hangnails or rust in the throttle cable sleeve. So you can pull it by foot but it doesn't return by throttle body spring. Should try to lubricate in the sleeve and see if it would make any difference. If not, maybe try another throttle cable.

Did the new TPS fix the issue of the throttle getting stuck open? If not, swap back over to the old one.
