Alright here is the situation-
I am in the mode for upgrades but I have this damn delema, called school. I start college soon so money will be tight. Here are my two choices as far as my car goes.

1. Build a 16g powered 2g that will be well supported in a while and have my car be quick but not the fastest around.

2. Go with a 50 trim and keep up with the "big boys" in reno and sac but that will cost more.

Im thinking the 16g would be a better idea and then once I have school all done I can go bigger right? Tell me what you think, and peregrine dont flame me for not being able to keep up with you ok?

Also anyone want to point me in the direction of a good place to find a normal 16g with 2g install kit? Im still open to turbo suggestions also but the price has to be low. Thanks for looking:)

Asslan started the insults. I was just playing Asslans games. Don't bi*** at just me when it was obviously going both ways since his 2nd post.

Regards,

Dont worry i aint "bitching" at just you. I pm'd him and told him to calm the heck down with it. Maybe we should just kill the thread since you two are basically about to start a flame war with each other because u have a clash of opinions.

Libila, I am in your shoes as well. In my case, my mods are in place and yet I still want to make a PRAGMATIC choice on a turbocharger. These new 50-trim hybrids are compelling from a price/performance perspective. Is it worth $400 more? I personally wouldn't have considered the 50-trim if I hadn't built my engine, but that's the conservative engineer in me. I've seen quite a few 20g's on stock blocks, so I'll bow to experience on that one. Regardless, my plan all along has been to break in my new engine with a ported 14b. If it can kill my friend's 13-sec Mustang then I'll probably stop there... if it's close, 16g, but if the price's keep coming down on garrett hybrids, who knows.

A stock 6 bolt block is Very safe for about 420 whp, at that point you have to be a little bit less idiot and a little bit more careful and you can take it up higher. You can max out a 50 trim all you want on pump gas an unless you Dre you will not reach the point where your engine will break from power. It may break from some mistake, but that can kill any engine.

On race gas you can handle more power safely and should be fine to. A 50 trim is nothing to be worried about. i ran a 60-1 at 28 PSI on a stock block without a problem. Just have to be careful.

Tev is my dog. ;)

ItsStockOfficer,

I'm done arguing with you. There are people in this world that no matter how much you try to reason with them, you'll just never get anywhere. I'll continue to have my success with cars (which has been GREAT so far) and I'm sure you'll continue to have success as well, just to a much smaller extent. ;) Good luck, and try to keep your emotions out of the discussion. There's no reason for you to bring childish insults into the discussion. Tev has been beating me up about that for years now, and I'm finally starting to learn.

Regards,

Asslan,

Your success was measured in the size of your shot. I don't think its cheating but it certainly does detract from anything you think you may have accomplished. When you wanna play with those who don't work with a bottle, come repost your new found insights. As for my success being less then yours, Thats all relative. I make as much power as you with no bottle on probably half the mods. As for emotions, The only ones brought into this conversation was condensation, and a modicum of pity. You started the insults, I merely played your game. Don't say i was the childish one.

Regards,
