Hey guys, so i just got a 1993 TSI 3 days ago.
it was parked for three years, so with a new battery and some other parts we got it stared drove it for a day or so and this morning it would not start? it has spark but no fuel???? dose the fuel pump just go BAD???? whats do i look for, and the funny thing was that there where two 1g gsx driving by the night before cars like that just don't dive by my place and the doors where unlocked.... PLEASE HELP ME I REALLY WANT TO DRIVE IT!!!!!!!

Yes, sometimes fuel pumps just go bad. Check for power when you turn the key on and while cranking at the fuel pump harness. If you have power there it's a bad pump most likely. If you don't have power at the harness then check power going to the fuel pump relay.

Thanks for the help! The harness is getting power... so probably the pump???? can it just die over night?

1+ on the pump,when i got mine after being parked for two years the pump was frozen.Had to get a new wally and drain the tank before i could have started it.

No, you will need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (AFPR). The 255 will outflow the stock FPR. A 190 on the other hand, can be handled by the stock FPR.

It's better to get the AFPR regardless of it being a 190lph or 255lph. The concept is the same for both, the stock FPR was not meant to regulate much more than what the stock pump pumps out. You won't notice as much a problem on the 190, but it doesn't mean it's not overrunning the stock FPR. Best to get the AFPR when upgrading to ANY aftermarket fuel pump.
