Hi,

Well to start it off i have a 97 gst with the basic bolt on mods. Big 16g, evo injectors, safc, exhaust, fmic, bov, ect...

Well I started having problems about a month ago when my oil light came on. I thought it was just that i was low on oil because of all the driving i was doing ( houston to austin to houston... )

Changed oil... light still stayed on only at idle though. I figured it was my oil pump and my oil pressure, so i took it to mitsu and asked them to diagnose it for me. They told me that the pump was bad and it needed to be replaced.

One of my best friends owns a 3000gt and does all his own work. He is an awesome mechanic and has one of the fastest 3000's on the 3si boards. He helped me change my oil pump and put it all back together ( timing and all... )

We started the car up, and let it idle for a sec, and the pressure went up, and the light turned off. Now the only problem is the cars vaccuum is terrible. Sits at ~ -5 vac and the car vibrates rather bad.

My friends think that i might have to replace the bearings and im talking with the now. I really would like any input into what you guys think could be the problems and what I should check out.

Also, im throwing my cel for my egr low circuit input.

There is a good chance your timing is off a couple of teeth. Double check it as well as checking your base timing. Here, under engine you will find the 2G timing write up if you need it.:D
 
Yeah deffinately sounds like the timing is off and make sure when you redo the timing to make sure the oil pump ballance shaft is right also. There is a good tbelt install instructions on vfaq
