loosing my mind can anyone help?

I have been searching and checking connectors all day still no start.Problem is with a 95 gst. My car sat for 3 years (no money to fix), finally I bought a used engine and put it in but it wouldnt start. So put in new starter. still car turns over but wont start. Checked fuel pump it was bad so put in a evo pump this morning and its getting fuel to the rail and acts like it wants to start but no start.Put in new spark plugs and still no start.Put in new battery still no start????Can anyone help Im going crazy after 3 weeks of work I still got no running car.

Hi! A little more information would be helpful. Are you getting spark at the plugs? Also, have you checked the CEL that the ECU is giving?

i have to literally pump my gas to get my car to start. check your fpr and wires. what CEL are you talking about

+1 on spark plug wires. Also check to make sure they are connected properly and firing in the proper order.

Not sure how to check the FPR-I know what it is but how do I test it and the spark plugs are brand new how do I test spark?

Since you know your getting fuel to the rail and you know your getting air....all thats left is spark...

Pull out the plugs, remove the mpi fuse/relay and have someone crank the car....if you have spark I would look for compression then....if no spark heres some things that can be bad.....

CAS=Cam angle sensor....since your a 95 it is positioned behind the intake cam gear....
CPS=Crankshaft position sensor....Located down next to the crankshaft pulley....
Transistor Pack/Ignitor...Located on your intake manifold....
Coil Pack....Located next to transistor pack....

You might also want to check that it is possible that you connected the coil pack to the a/c compressor plug, or connected the crankshaft sensor plug to the a/c compressor plug...

Coil pack, CPS, and a/c compressor all use triangle 3 wire connectors that could be plugged into each other....

im gonna pull out a spark plug and check for spark but the cps and cas are different colors black and gray so they have to be plugged in right.

mpi fuse relay where is it sorry cant find it in my manual?

Have you verified the firing order is correct for the plugs?

ok now i know the order of the plug wires is correct checked it twice-I have unplugged the mpi relay and pulled out one plug and taped it to the head (metal) and tried cranking it but saw no spark. So im thinking its the coil or transistor???or not???any way to test those

the transistor on this new engine came off the old engine that sat in the car in my yard for 3 years so im thinking maybe that is the problem ??would it go bad by sitting and would it cause a no start?

Im also wondering if it could be a ground-I have a bolt left over I labled engine to trans ground but see no ground wire to bolt it on -How many grounds are there on a 2g.I have one on the intake from the firewall, one on the top bolt that holds the starter (im thinking the left over bolt would have held this ground somewhere else),and one on the battery from firewall for a total of 3. Is there one im missing or does the left over bolt just ground the starter ground somewhere else???
