anyone have problems with these leaking or any other problems? I know everyone says to use oem mitsu gaskets, but I saw these on sbr's site and they seem like a good deal. Wondering if anyone has used a topline engine gasket set and if there were any problems? Thanks.

I see no problem using any gasket brand as long as the mounting surfaces are clean and the bolts are torqued correctly. I would use all but the head gasket. I used a adjusa gasket set I got off ebay for under 150 and has everything you need when doing a rebuild.

i got a gasket set from auto-parts-wholesale.com and have had no problems with the head gasket or any other gasket... just make sure everything is clean before installation.

The engine gasket set is made of very poor quality. alot of the gaskets for the tb/coolant system ect were nothing more than thick paper. I also had a ton of stuff left over that i had no idea what to do with. i guess if you want to do things twice and be cheap, go ahead and buy topline. " exceeds or meets oem specifications"- my ass

See now I have had good success with Topline products, including gasket sets. With the exception of the head gasket.

I have the topline headgasket. My car has overheated and been beat to crap and it hasn't popped so i would say it's not bad quality at all.

Topline Complete Gasket Kit (Slowboy) - $159
OEM Mitsubishi Complete Gasket Kit (Mitsuparts) - $182.72

I would spend the extra $23.72 and get the factory gaskets :thumb:

got a link to that? My dealership wanted a lot more than that ...

What is the difference between the Topline 1g and 2g pistons aside from what rods they will fit? The compression ratios are the same. I am only asking because I am building a 6-bolt with Topline pistons.

Thanks for the link :thumb: Actually it fits my budget because I'm running a 6 bolt :shhh:

Sweet! The 6-Bolt part number is MD974636 if you need it.
