I bought a topline front cover for my engine rebuild and was wondering do all of these covers have slant cut gears? Reason I ask is because I was wanting to bolt my stub shaft up to the oil gears and I can't because my stub shaft is straight cut and these gears are slant. I guess I will just buy new gears and a new stub shaft from Mitsu anyways... Just wanted to know if any of you all ran into this same thing.

Well thanks for the replies... (sarcasm) I figured out what the problem was. The topline covers come with diagonally cut oil pump gears. The gear I had bolted to my stub shaft from my previous Mitsu cover had a straight cut gear. Well I wasn't thinking and thought the stub shaft came with the gear bolted to it... So I woke up today and realized that I needed to unbolt the gear from the previous cover and bolt the gear up from the new cover.
